So, felt like dropping in and saying hey! Names Bob-dude and I've been a fan of MLP Tales for about a year or two now (came in by way of FiM) and I've started doing my own review/commentary of the series, which I'll be uploading shortly to the site, hope to have a good time here.

Great addition to a great series! Here are some of my particular thoughts.
"Justin proposed to Moonglow? ...It's about freaking time." Oh my, I love your jokes. Call me quaint or naive, but I love this material. Those and the unsubtle Doctor Who references. I'm not even a Whovian.
A quick internet search also confirms that there were lots of hurricanes starting in June 1992. It was one of the worst in history.
What does YMLMY mean?
I never actually thought of Sweetheart as working in the Ice Cream Shop. Because she and Starlight are close friends, I'd say that's not a bad idea.
"Star mom has apparently had one ice cream soda too many and accepts, under the logic of not having any more appointments for the day. then again, it is her salon/shop so if she wants to close earlier, I guess that's her right to do so." Other than the funny jokes, I like how you still stay within logic. It makes for a fun time with some headcanon developing. 8)
I love that Juicy Story song, too. Mad cowbell in the background.
Clover did indeed say Appleoosa. I've also noticed that Madame Persharon is Clover's ballet instructor in Send in the Clown.
Patch shared her story with Bon Bon, and I like that they may hang out together at Patch's house together. I'm also very surprised that you didn't look up the definition of "mumps." Once you do, you won't get the image out.
As far as I understand, the Cleveland Bays are a boy-band (considering Impractical Joker) with teen age stars. I like to think that Dazzle's found love with their manager or the like.
Bright Eyes... well, I don't know what to say. Your review sums up my feelings.
As for Stuck-Up pony, I call her Lavender and make her a recurring character in my 100k+ word story about Tales. Never thought of her as the Tales Diamond Tiara, but then I don't usually compare and say "Character X is character Y." And I like both of them.
Seems like Bright Eyes outclasses Sweetheart at gossip.
I know that all of the ponies can be jerks to each other at times, but I still found Patch to be a bully in this scene. I know it’s Teddy of all ponies, and just because she spends time with the boys doesn’t mean she’s fond of them. Gossiping along fervently and palling around seems more like her, the scamp she is.
But then I cross-examined everything and came to the conclusion that, in addition to palling around with her friends, she was trying to impress a certain yellow pony of the group… yes I’m the one who submitted that PatchBon picture to Out of Context-PonyTales a while back. If you rewatch the scene you may catch my drift.
Cute Sweetheart is best Sweetheart!
Very out-of-character of Lancer indeed. I wonder what they were thinking. The Tales writers are quite capable, in my humble opinion. Maybe he’s a bit of a whiner about morals sometimes? I know Teddy is mean to everybody sometimes.
I’ve googled “Teddy has a Teddy Bear,” and “TEDDY HAZ A TEDDY BEAR?!” and come across nothing. I am disappointed.
“Trock?” Either you’re clever at naming things or there’s a reference that I don’t get. I’m too young to get some of the references.
I bet that the people who think Teddy’s an abuse victim either jumped for joy or weeped. Teddy’s mom sounded kind of nice.
The scene with Teddy and Sweetheart kind of reminded me of this one scene from Courage the Cowardly Dog: The Mask. You’re about the age to remember that show I imagine.
But anyway, I’d say Teddy was fairly justified. Sweetheart wasn’t at fault here, but as you said, he has anger issues. Some fanfic writers on LiveJournal also speculate that he could have trust issues or paranoia. (The link’s in General Tales Chat, by the way. Some good stories exist.)
Fluttershy and Applejack paradoxical references in one scene? I liked it.
At the Ice Cream Shop, I noted the fact that Bon Bon had a certain pony paying her attention while she ate.
And Sweetheart turns out to have a dark side, too. Who knew? (Not me.) May need to write a story in which Patch believes Sweetheart’s a double agent working for the government, if that weren’t somewhat ridiculous.
But then Bright Eyes’ head tilt was just so filled with the attitude that makes her stand out as a smart character to me.
THANK YOU FOR REALIZING THE TRUTH ABOUT STARLIGHT. I thought that I was one of the only ones (except for Heck Yeah Pony Scans, but they aren’t a huge fan of Tales) who saw that. Starlight and Sweetheart are both hopeless romantics in my opinion, if Princess Problems and the comics are anything to go by in the latter case. But all of them kind of are.
And it was a wise move making Melody too occupied with other things to worry about Ace for the writers. I love them and her for that.
I don’t know what you mean about Sweetheart’s mom and Dad or, as I’ve called them, Lovely Surprise and Heartsworth. But if it’s what I think it is, Bon Bon’s parents (decidedly Long Hose and Slice Cake) have it on even more. At least six kids with at least one older kid and Slice looking like she was expecting in a few scenes… wow. But I do think the little girls are triplets.
When the camera zooms into the window to see Sweetheart there, it also reminded me of Courage the Cowardly Dog: The Mask. When the masked Kitty looked through the window to see Muriel stealing the food. (If you somehow don’t remember, watch it.) This is a serious similarity.
I thought they really were rather photogenic baby ponies. And I don’t explore beyond the Default tag on Derpibooru except to tag Tales pictures correctly.
Teddy really was a hypocrite afterwards though. Tommy Oliver got something right when he did the video. But again, he’s tennish, though I can personally attest that kids that age can sometimes tell when they’re being that way.
I also really liked Sweetheart and Teddy’s “pals” handshake. It was adorable and it almost seemed like they could consider each other siblings (one fanfic pulled off that idea well. Odyssey for Truth by mari.) I’d type something up on it but nobody would listen.
Finally, I found that “type of girl you could really get to like” comment creepy for some reason. On one side of the coin, it could obviously be nice, but still…
Again, I appreciate the fact that you (bob-dude) and you one guest stuck around while I typed this up. You guys are great!

Funnily enough, I do have a ship fic involving the Tales cast, but it's with Bon Bon and Starlight. And it involves them becoming in shape, a very round shape. The point I'm getting at is that it's a weight gain fic. They'll be looking somewhat like this when all is said and done badblah67.deviantart.com/art/Fat-Pony-Base-374557740... I have a great many fetishes, so sue me. As for the Trock, it's a reference to THIS thing of beauty. Enjoy www.youtube.com/watch?v=03J_YvGsUQIFunnily enough, I always just saw Ted's anger issues as just that, anger issues. Kid's ten and all, whose to say he won't group up with a much more level head on his neck? So it was YOU who submitted that post, well, you have a heck more screen shots then I do for mine. I just do BonLight solely off of this screen shot. bob-dude.tumblr.com/image/76045923148 That and Starlight working in an ice cream shop makes weight gaining REALLY easy to do. And as for THAT guy and his 'review', well, there's a reason WHY i just call him Mr. Lumpy Brown Hat. Plus anyone who pets Equestria on THAT much of a pedestal can't be healthy mentally. "Clover did indeed say Appleoosa. I've also noticed that Madame Persharon is Clover's ballet instructor in Send in the Clown." Well, only got one way to reply to that. www.youtube.com/watch?v=pwNrOPFFNjU"I know that all of the ponies can be jerks to each other at times, but I still found Patch to be a bully in this scene." Then you may or may not wind up liking the Impractical Joker, even I was a little put off at first by Patch's behavior in that one, before I rationalized it has leaving Patch's character open for more development as she grew up. " Lovely Surprise and Heartsworth." Welp, though a hell better names then what I came up with. Originally started to give all the parent ponies the name of different couples from classic sitcomes (all in the family, Green Acres, ect) but that proved to be too much to keep track of, so I just settled in giving them names like Bon Mom and the like. "As far as I understand, the Cleveland Bays are a boy-band (considering Impractical Joker) with teen age stars." Are they , always saw them as adults (hence the rumor about Dazzle dating one of them) myself, leading to a reoccurring joke when the Mane Seven all grew up of "What ever happened to the Bays?" (this being a reference to the in universe band of Love Fist from the GTA seriese). "Mad cowbell in the background." Never noticed the ow bell before, if it's good enough for Cheese Sandwich... "What does YMLMY mean?" Your Milage May Very. May or may not be using that acronym correctly, I'm not Blithe Baxter for goodness sake. "And Sweetheart turns out to have a dark side, too. Who knew? (Not me.) May need to write a story in which Patch believes Sweetheart’s a double agent working for the government, if that weren’t somewhat ridiculous" If Fluttershy's moments of awsome have taught me anything, it that's you NEVER mess with the soft spoken ones. And that situation would TOTALLY work a an episode, Patch could totally grow up to become the Agent Maulder of her universe. Or possibly the Agent J.... "just because she spends time with the boys doesn’t mean she’s fond of them." Oddly I've always seen Patch as the asexual one of the group. "But if it’s what I think it is, Bon Bon’s parents (decidedly Long Hose and Slice Cake) have it on even more." It is, and that is a very good point. "Teddy really was a hypocrite afterwards though." Eh, aren't we all hypocrites on SOME level or another. Sides, dudes freaking ten, like none of us ever acted like thingys to one another when we were that age? I mean there's a reason WHY Kids are Cruel is a thing.

Yeah; I noticed that you ship StarBon. Interesting is what I'll say. But I still think PatchBon is boss. l8) I've never read a fanfic with a fetish in particular, but with how yours tend to be, I'll totally give it a try. Weight gain has always been a mystery to me, so in addition to having a fairly good writer writing a story about Tales, maybe some light will be shed on that. Interesting! There are a good many things I haven't seen that you've mentioned in your reviews. I shall listen to the soundtrack when I have an hour of free time. So true about Teddy, though. His tough guy facade is possibly a childhood phase, and his anger issues may also be. Maybe he'd even stop those tendencies before growing up thanks to the understanding of Sweetheart. *shrug* i13.photobucket.com/albums/a300/ActorMan999/Sergeant%20Frog/Kululu.pngku ku ku... Well, when I compiled a list of moments, it spread out to be over thirteen minutes. I just think the two have good chemistry, but I'm fairly flexible. If it works, it works, right? (When I submit things to Out of Context, it says that "Notes submitted this.") Mr. Lumpy Brown Hat? What an inventive and creative name, friend! I'd seen some of his other reviews before that (he is good at analyzing FiM) but watching the Anti-FiM was the biggest mistake ever, even if it did get me into Tales. "WHOA!" Cool video. Impractical Joker was a fun, silly little episode, but it could put some people. I thought it was a fun little romp with humor mixed in (the Chain Link scene gives me the giggles every time). Then there was the song. Golly Tales had good music. But I see how others might not enjoy it as much. As you said with Too Sick to Notice, it depends on how much you like the character in question, and you need to be able to get that they're just silly kids. Good rationalization, by the way. I'm the only person on the planet who hasn't seen those lovely sitcoms with the laugh-tracks. What can I say, I memorized about three hundred background ponies back in my FiM days. (When I was ignorant to the alternate fun part of the coin that is Tales.) Edith and Doug? Well, Bon Mom has a good ring to it too. The problem I find with them being adults is the fact that he would have called just any pony, and the fact that girls (at least these days) seem to like those young stars. But again, the time Melody went on a date with him, it was all a petty joke. I dunno. You never noticed the cowbell in Juicy Story?! Well, I suppose that I am in band, so I'd be more inclined to know that. I enjoyed it; the cowbell isn't a common instrument. Your Mileage May Vary is YMMV. It looked like it, but I wasn't sure. (I get this information from TVTropes.) References to things I don't get are the funnest references (not really.) I sure could imagine Patch being suspicious of something odd, but it does make more sense now that I think about it. And who knows; Patch has a whole host of opportunities. Sometimes she's an inventor. Other times she knows about electricity and construction. Once she was a cop in a story. I was talking about friendship, but yes; I've actually thought about Patch being asexual. Aromantic might be better -- not being romantic. Maybe both? In the show she seems like the "I'm freeeeee!" type when it comes to romance, especially at the beginning, but she's no stranger to friendship. Who knows what she'd grow up to be... Uh-yup. So very true. He has had lapses in judgement before, so he probably... I don't know.

1. Mostly inspired from this good fellow, who does a superb job of describing the process of ponies packing on the pounds. collinfatpony.deviantart.com/gallery/2. Vice City does have some most excellent music, certainly got some new tracks to add to my play list. 3. Being a male in his early 20s I'm more often then not very indifferent towards the ship factor, so whatever works in canon is good enough for me. But that doesn't mean I can't want to toy with things every now and then. 4. I think it's telling that Griffin Reviewer dude couldn't help but comment on Mr. Lumpy Brown Hat's utopian reading of Equestrian. It's certain more idealized in real life, but it's no more a utopia then the GTA America is a dystopia 5. Really, all the MLP series had their share of good jobs (adore the song Feeling Good from the Princess Promaida), it's just that FiM managed to step it up and raise the bar to a very high level. 6. Patch always struck me as a more versatile tomboy archetype then Rainbow Dash, lot more interests then just soccer, and she doesn't seem to have quite the single minded goal that Rainbow does (Circus Clown doesn't exactly pay the bills, could see her become a more positive version of the Nostalgia Critic though). She also seems like the type of pony who would adore places like the Everfree forest (Bright Eyes would be fancenasted by the place as well) and Equestria's overall 'wonder and whimsies'.
