1: I shall explore this user a bit more. Sounds like it could be cool.
2: In that case, I'll be in for a treat tomorrow. I certainly can appreciate some good music. 8)
3: I personally love experimenting with various ships! I normally phrase it as 'dynamics' when I do it so it includes friendships, mentorships, etc. It's actually a lot of fun to watch episodes in different perspectives; it almost makes them new.
4. Silver Quill, right? From the few reviews I've seen he's pretty good. Obviously a brony, but still. (Digibrony seems swell to me.)
5. True about everyone doing a good job. I quite enjoyed Twinkle Wish Adventure, for example, and G3 is beginning to grow on my (partially thanks to brightglow). Still have yet to see anyone being positive about Newborn Cuties. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ChfPwjH3jc)
6. I agree here. Someone (ArcaneFlame maybe?) described her as eccentric, and I'd say that it fits. (She and Bright Eyes really would love the Everfree Forest.) If I could find a way to put them there without the use of portals and contrivances, I would write a story. If I'm not gonna do it, who is, right?

1. Guy's nice as can be, and he is a good writer, though a little formulaic (pony eats food, pony loves food, pony gets the fats).
4. Yup, that's the guy. Never bodes well when one of your own thinks you might be reading a bit too much into something.
5. No one likes the Newborn Cuites, not even G3.5 fans (like the chibi cute artstyle and liked the dragon lady character, so it has that much going for it so far for me)
6. Bright Eyes: A wolf made of of sentient wood, the sheer biological implications alone are staggering! Patch: THAT IS SO COOL! BE: FOR SCIENCE Patch: FOR PUNCHING THINGS! (and then the Timberwolf was the deads). Just use Discord being bored, he's basically the Q of the pony multiverse and him being bored is about a good a reason as any as far as I'm concern. Plus it would be nice it have the Mane Six and Seven interact with one another, especially seeing as how not all of them match up personality wise (Clover and Spike would get along pretty well I think.

1. Exploration is a must. I shall read a few of these stories.
5. I rather liked G3.5. It had some plot, Whimsy was indeed fun, and I enjoyed the other characters too.
6. I could imagine both of them becoming nerdy (both do read) and then Patch leading Bright Eyes into all kind of trouble. THEN the punching things would begin. (Discord being bored is something of a cliche, as far as I can tell, but it could indeed be a reason).
Though the mane seven and the 7 Pony Friends meeting is also a common element in FiM/Tales literature (in all, in fact) it could be done well, assuming you just didn't go with the typical Patch/Dash, Hearts/Flutters formula. It could actually be cool to write oddball dynamics with little things in common, like Hearts/Rares (romantics) and Sweetie Belle/Clover (both overshadowed by sister and clumsy.)
Hm. You may have given me a story idea.

6. Is it? The only Fim/Tales story I know of that's written half way decently is a Royal Respite by Firehooves... and I put simple HATE that story (and even then it's about Celestia and Luna disguising themselves and interacting with the Mane Seven). So if there are any decent (non script) Fim/Tales stories I'd be happy to have links to them. And it is sorely tempting to go the obvious route (Derpy and Clover interacting with one another would totally lead to this line: THERE"S TWO OF THEM, AND ONE OF THEM CAN FLY!) but there's something to be said for mixing things up as well, I could totally see Pinkie Pie try and treat Sweetheart like Fluttershy when in prank mode, only be very surprised at the difference between SWEETNESS and SHYNESS (one is a lot more willing to call ponies out on their bullnuts for starters). Plus you just know Melody would have fun introducing the power of Rock to Equestria (Twisted Sisters I wanna rock anyone?)
Could also see Starlight, Daffidasiy (who is awesome and silly) and the spa ponies get along pretty good. Though Starlight and Rarity could bond over their lack of success at love. And you just know that even a pony like Patch would find the Mane Six's distrest in the opposite sex (Just one, really?) to be more then a bit odd even for her.

I've read the first chapter. I dunno, I liked it so far. It has the potential to go crazy though. Decent? Yow. Other than Royal Respite and yours, I can't think of them at the moment, though there was one where Lyra went to Ponyland by Sherlock Holmes 18. sherlock-holmes18.deviantart.com/art/Grand-Dimension-Hopping-Pony-Epic-347583042There was also a really good side story to an epic crossover between all generations. www.fimfiction.net/story/95189/pony-pov-series-season-55-65-side-story-seven-dreams-nightmares You don't need to read the entire series before then, but though the characters don't interact, I love it. Feels. The obvious route is obvious for a reason, that reason being that people may happen to enjoy reading about it. But I am thinking that the Starlight, the spa ponies and Daffidazey and Rarity with Starlight would make sense in the context of my work. The Pinkie Pie and Sweetheart idea is GENIUS, by the way. Patch might go on a tangent about how you had to stop conforming to social norms because the unicorns did it, and the school textbook conspiracy was telling her friends what to do. You're really inspiring me, though. 8)

1. Ah yes. That one very convoluted pony story thing. What's a good way of saying something's almost TOO good, because as good as Pony POV is, I get the feeling that the writer sometime forgets taht he's writing about talking magical horses in the end. It's almost TOO in depth and mature for my tastes, if that makes any sort of sense. Got a good chuckle out of the Lyra thing though. Also, could totally see Bon Bon looking at all the G4 ponies and their skinniness and not being too impressed with that (being a plus sized model and all). Happy to see that I'm helping in some way though.

Sure it got in depth, but I kind of like that stuff. Nice break from the Sweetheart/Teddy fluff that this fandom has most of the time (half the time forgetting about the entire mean half of Teddy's personality). It was serious, but again, it was well-written.
Glad you had fun with the Lyra thing. It is a cool little concept, even without the human customs. Lyra is just, in general, a silly-seeming pony.
Bon Bon would be that or envious of them. Not only are they such good friends; they can eat infinite calories of food and never gain weight. I imagine that it's a little source of stress sometimes, though not nearly as much as being liked. But some aspects, like their constant willingness to trust others, she might not be as keen on.
Helping? HELPING?! These ideas and talking with you is pure gold, but I have other stories, too, some of which are very demanding. Vertigo, Mecklenburger Lights, Silence on High Street West, Operation Teddy, TCAT, and a bunch of little projects. I could take some more, it'd get me off of writer's block. In an indirect way you certainly are.

Good luck on your stuff then, I'm nearly 5k words into the Tales short story and almost finished. All that's left is the reactions of the rest of the mane seven to Starlight's more... rounder body shape.

I'm lazy about logging out, as for the story, haven't had much time to write sadly.

Oh. Well, such things do happen, and I just want you to know that I'm ecstatic at the idea of more stories.
Actually, I have a first attempt at writing a humorous story that I've finished the first chapter of: The Teddy Geneses. It's basically several characters telling their own rendition of where Teddy came from while Bright Eyes is frustrated to no end at the ludicrous answers she gets. Not only is it a new zany writing style for Tales and a new perspective on how Bright Eyes views others when she's feeling particularly grumpy (because she used a bit of sarcasm in the show). It's quite fun, and I've already written one ~2k chapter, so you, the guests, and the other users will have something new on the FanFiction board soon. (I've got a lot of new fanon to bring to the table. Be nervousited.)
But again, I'm very excited to read your story when it's finished. You've proven your aptness at writing your Tales ponies in Coltenville Chronicles, and the quality of your writing in the grammar and storytelling department far outdoes the qualm I have about characterization.
And then, you never know, but the guests may eventually gather the courage and willpower to publish stories/fanart/videos/whatever to the fandom. If I've learned one thing in the past few days, it is that there are many people lurking around here.

Gotta say, your story sounds pretty amusing (plus a good bit of good ole sarcasm never hurts either), looking forward to it.
Ah, so you've read the Coltenville Chronicles (to this day I wonder if I wasn't better of just sticking with Susan Who as the title). What characterization issues did you have with it?
If we can only be so lucky, hard to keep talking about a show that only lasted one season and 26 episodes. Though compared to some shows that's still more then others got.

Glad to hear! It'll give me an excuse to write nonsense for the amusement of others, and that's something I've never done before. I imagine Bright Eyes is nice most the time, but at least once in the series she pulled out the sarcastic bomb. Even though her saying she knew everything combated her curiosity and desire to learn more (her normall characterization)... it kind of stuck. )8,)
Coltenville Chronicles really was a great story, but in the beginning, I know for a fact that Bon Bon would be freaking out as much as Clover to be experiencing turbulence... well, anywhere. Especially if it involved heights or falling or the illusion thereof, because she lived through nearly falling of a cliff in Masquerade and the entire Up, Up and Away incident. It wouldn't help that Bon Bon will be perpetually confused about the latter incident (and who really saved her).
I would personally beg to differ. Even if the show was only cancelled at 26 episodes, they left plenty of places open for fans to speculate on, like the presence of magic and whatever happened between Teddy and Sweetheart. Then there's the realm of fanon (art, stories, etc.) that sometimes tries to build upon where the show left off but more often than not overemphasizes certain points and tips off my characterization. Then there's the stuff that really, really doesn't, and just thinks of new situations that would never happen. Plus, there has been talk of an abridged series (on two occasions, actually) for alternate characterization of the canon material.
mlptfan, when he was still online, mentioned that he was an animator, and that he considered making his own season two, but of course, it's been about four years now and we haven't heard a word from him about anything, and his YouTube channel's been copyright bombed. (I'd love to share a conversation with him about just anything because he seems like a jolly person, but alas, that is going to remain a dream.)

^ In Coltenville Chronicles, though, I do love what you've done with the others, like with Starlight's concern and Patch being threatened to become a chair for Bon Bon. That look of horror and the mischievous look will never be forgotten. And Clover was just adorable as always.
(I also just remembered that one of the Cleveland Bays, when he appeared at the end of And The Winner Is was young, to bring up an old discussion.)
