Adorable! By the way, Teddy, where have you been? It's been a while since you last posted, from what I've seen.

The discorded ponies last time were actually rather interesting, although discorded Starlight's obsession with heat, I don't understand.

Missed it by a couple of years, darn it! I've got a compilation of all the Tales episodes on a homemade DVD, but some of the episodes are poor quality.

Patch !

Patch was actually made in 1993 (or 1994 depending on the release), but she's still a good toy! I always find it odd that despite the fact that the seven girls were the stars of a show, they are very hard to find toys. Guess they're just sought after.

Does the issue with no cover have Lancer in it as a purple pony with pink hair, or not? If so, it could be MLP and Friends 41. If not, check the Pony Land Postbag/My Little Readers and Friends for information on the next issue. It will tell you the number for the next issue (usually) and the contents (sometimes) and the date it is coming out (always). As for MLP and Friends 51, I'd very much like to see it, as I only have MLP and Friends issues up to 46 (I have a straight run of them from 38 to 46). Maybe tonight?

Well, I'm here too. Looks like the Tales fandom is on its highest since 2011.

As a follow-up to my Starlight and Melody topics, I'm creating a topic about Bright Eyes' development as well. She was really neglected in the show, and until Ponies in Paradise, she never really got much character development. Any thoughts or discussion on Bright Eyes' development?

As a follow-up to my topic on Starlight, I've created a topic about Melody's character. She seems to be a musician who can be overly proud of herself at times. Any other thoughts on Melody's development?

I have a feeling that they really neglected Starlight, Melody and Bright Eyes in the Tales show. Starlight got very little development outside being responsible and Ms. Hackney's favorite, Melody never seemed to get any episode where she had any true depth to her (she only ever REALLY got Battle of the Bands) and Bright Eyes was basically shoved to the side until Ponies in Paradise where she FINALLY got some development outside of being smart, but then the show ended. First, let's talk about Starlight's development. Any thoughts on this?

Corny

Corny WAS a cute character, he actually could have made a nice pair with Sweetheart (Especially after Teddy's behavior in that episode). He is also willing to help those he cares about (he tried to save Yorky but got trapped himself, despite succeeding in his goal). Lancewing, I wonder if you could include him in one of your episodes? Maybe the next one could have him in? You've already done Moki (twice) and Logan so it would be appropriate.

This was the final episode of Tales, but unfortunately, not a lot was accomplished. It felt like an excuse to show kids the way to be eco-friendly and not do much else. Bon Bon was cute in the ice cream scene, though, and the song has a weird catchiness to it. So, did this serve well as a finale or could another episode have done it better? Let the discussion begin!

Oh yes, the Sunbright episode, This was a very good episode and one of my favorites amongst the show. We got an adorable character called Moki, a good moral and a nice song all wrapped up in a refreshing tropical setting. This is also the only time Bright Eyes ever got some quality screen time and some good development outside of being the smart kid (She doesn't ALWAYS think straight and has flaws according to this episode, FINALLY making her a three-dimensional character). Since this is a hard episode to obtain on video (like Happy Birthday Sweetheart), I'm not yet sure everyone has seen this one. Thoughts?

This was a strange episode since I both liked and hated it. On one hand, Ace was acting like a jerk and Starlight was totally oblivious to it, also she joined the soccer team ONLY because she wanted Ace to like her. On the other hand, It gave us some more Ace/Melody and introduced the Ace/Starlight thing that is so popular amongst fans (although a few don't put them together), and we got just a little bit of precious character development for Starlight (who, basically, besides being a leader and a teacher's pet who helps out at an ice cream shop, doesn't have much character development or depth to her). It had a very strange appeal to it as well. So, basically, this episode is a very odd guilty pleasure to me. Opinions, anyone?

A rather cute episode with a good moral and some top-notch humor ("Try not to be so happy, dear!"). Teddy also seems to have made friends with Bon Bon by the end of the episode (I thought his girlfriend was Sweetheart...and this is probably NOT where the writers of the Tales comics got the Teddy-Bon Bon thing from MLP and Friends 44 that has caused some confusion over the years). I also believe Clover had only one line in this episode, in the Secrets song. Also, this is chronologically the first episode (at least in MLPtfan's order). Does anyone have any other thoughts?
