It's an event symbol, actually. Apparently this 'event' began 15 February 2015.

Or toys for that matter. G2 really tanked as the US, as I hear, a shame since many of the toys sold in Europe were awesome. I wish they would have at least made one short featuring the G2 cast, even if it would have been only five minutes in length.

I guess Season 5 is in my opinion somewhat more hit-and-miss than the previous seasons. You have really good episodes like Amending Fences and Made in Manehattan (and let's not forget the crazy and awesome stunt that was the 100th episode) and really bad episodes like Tanks for the Memories and Princess Spike. Agreed with Bobdude on the Troubleshoes episode, personally I thought it was meh. The Tales show was originally paired with the G1 show in its initial airings on the Disney Channel, where one episode of the G1 show would air alongside the two Tales episodes of the week. The episodes had to be 11 minutes in length due to the time slot they were placed in. And besides, I personally think the show works better with that format. Can you imagine 'Just for Kicks' stretched out to 22 minutes, as an example? (I would personally imagine there being a subplot where Bright Eyes attempts to educate Bon Bon on the nature of the metabolism, it would be some great screen time for Bright Eyes to give her some more focus, and I can only imagine Bon Bon's reaction to learning about her digestive system).

Does Season 5 really have political humour?

They actually can't, even mocking the previous generations in 'A Brony Tale' (though they never give the show a chance to stand on its own terms instead of comparing it to FiM and being angry that it's different, therefore criticizing it). It's a shame, though, FiM has really gone downhill recently.

Maybe I ought to go over to the Tales Mania forum, reactivate my old account there (only made three posts on there, I believe) and see if I can resurrect it from its deathbed. It's at least worth a shot.

Those are also great Starlight moments . I really feel she got neglected/shoved onto the back burner compared to many of the other characters, so there just ain't much material involving her to work with.

And it looks like I got my old account back! Looks like I haven't been online using this account since June of last year! So, anyways, I have some new Tales comics since last time, and one of them shows Bright Eyes' parents in it!

A while back, I created a second season of Tales for the original 26 episodes to carry on into. Here they are: Summer Daze: Summer has begun, and Patch wants to go to a volcanic island so she can have some adventure, despite her family and friends' objections. A Close Call: Melody is put in detention for not finishing her homework, and her friends try to get her out. Homework Helper: Bright Eyes suddenly gains popularity by doing everyone's homework against her will. The Return of Squire: A ghost is haunting Lancer's mansion, and so Patch and the others try to hunt it down, discovering some incredible secrets along the way. The Blackout: A blackout sweeps the town, and the others try to make the best out of it. Race To the Finish: Melody, Bright Eyes, Patch and Bon Bon enter a biking competition, but Ace enters as well as part of his plan to show he is an all-round winning athlete. PST Problems: The PST (Pony Standardized Tests) are coming up, but Teddy steals all the papers. Sweetheart and the others try to find out what Teddy's problem is. Dream On: Starlight tries to act like Melody to impress Ace. Bon Bon's Cooking Class: Bon Bon sets up a cooking class for her friends, but it doesn't turn out so well. Ballet Blowout: The Royal Lippizanner Ballet Company comes to town and Meadowlark invites Clover and her friends to travel with the company for a week and participate in the upcoming Swan Lake show in Hoofton. Clover is nervous about the show and her big sister's talent upstaging her. Melody the Rockstar: Melody wins a contest that will finally let her meet her idol Chain Link, with whom she is eager to perform with. Chain Link shows Melody what being a real rockstar is like and she realizes that she needs some practice before immediately becoming one. A Log Roll: Bright Eyes, Lancer, and the other girls try to stop a logging project in the Old Woods that could cause harm to the green-winged songbird population. Rockin; Beats Beaten: The second Battle of the Bands is on, and Melody is determined to win. She loses the contest to another band, and becomes depressed. Sibling Time: Meadowlark decides to take a week off the ballet company to spend time with her sister Clover, but Clover believes she will be ignored by everyone in the presence of her big sister. Teacher's Pet: After Starlight wins the Best Student award at school, she becomes prideful and mistreats her friends. Her friends then accuse her of being a teacher's pet out of annoyance, and Starlight realizes her actions. The Royal Visitor: Princess Rosy is coming to Ms. Hackney's class for a day, and Bon Bon, who is tasked with baking the cake at Rosy's arrival party, overworks herself. Bowled Over: The girls have a bowling competition with Teddy and Ace. Break a Leg: Clover breaks her leg before the upcoming ballet show and feels like she has failed her dance school. Olympic Champion Ace: After Ace is giving the chance to participate in the Junior Olympics, Patch and Starlight (being on Ace's soccer team) try to upstage him during a soccer match to teach him a lesson, but Starlight doesn't have the heart to stop Ace. Understanding of the Grail: Melody commits herself into pursuing a vintage signed Cleveland Bays microphone on a PTV auction, and starts to fail tests. Tutor Troubles: The girls and Ace set out to see why Lancer doesn't attend school. With Grace and Charm: Clover is tired of being clumsy, and so her friends use different styles to try to teach her how to dance. In the end, she fails all the styles, but Meadowlark arrives and shows Clover that developing a personal style is an important part of being a dancer and that you have to find your own way to do it. Lost in the Snow: Sweetheart gets lost in the snow-covered forest during a snowball fight. Search for the Yeti: Patch, Sweetheart, Bright Eyes, Bon Bon, Ace and Lancer set out into the Lost Mountains to find the mythical yeti. The World's Largest Pie: Bon Bon attempts to create the world's largest pie, but fails to do it alone. Patch's Mystery: A criminal has stolen a Ponyland Civil War helmet, and Patch decides to find it with the help of her appointed assistant Bon Bon. So, that's my seconds season. Let the discussion begin!

Here are some more random episodes I made up for a third season of Tales, continuing off the second season I made earlier on. Unlocking the Past: The ponies find a time capsule inside the school walls. New Ponies in School: The G1 ponies Wind Whistler, Fizzy, Gingerbread, Magic Star, Galaxy and Heart Throb come to the Tales' ponies school and the Seven Characters hold a welcoming party to bring the two groups together. To Bake or Not To Bake: Bon Bon believes she has lost her baking abilities, and Gingerbread tries to teach her how to bake again. Medaloid Madness: Battle of the Bands is on again, but there is a fire in the PTV studio and Melody must save Silver Gong, the lead singer of Medaloid, from the building. Patch Tested: Ms. Hackney sets Patch a difficult test to see if she can do it. Babysitting Blues: Sweetheart is tasked with babysitting her infant siblings Sugar, Honey and Peaches, but the job is difficult and she calls in Melody, Bon Bon and strangely Teddy to help. Aunt Clover: Meadowlark has a baby and Clover becomes overanxious about her duties as an aunt. The Great Bear Rescue: Teddy's bear goes missing and so he and Sweetheart set off on an adventure to find it. We Make a Perfect Pair: Starlight and Heart Throb both like Ace, even though he currently likes Wind Whistler, and try to impress him, but turn against each other in the process. Classroom of Chaos: Discord drops in on the Schoolhouse one day and causes chaos in Ms. Hackney's class. The Seven Characters and the G1s are later forced to make peace with him and he comes to live in the Tales universe. Brain Overload: Bright Eyes feels that Wind Whistler has swiped her position as a smart pony and decides to learn everything, but this causes a overload of knowledge. Superstitious Clover: Clover gets carried away with superstition on the week of Friday the 13th. Magic Star tries to help her but gets carried away with it as well due to her cautious nature. Quest for the Frazzits: The Frazzits have switched Patch's friends' personalities around, and she must help them. She succeeds, and is turned into a Glow N Show pony by Bright Glow. So that's it. Any thoughts?

Since there's already a thread on favorite Tales episodes, we will unfortunately have to talk about our least favorite Tales episodes (I'm sure a lot of people will say Shop Talk, because that one's pretty unpopular). My bottom 5 (there are very few bad Tales episodes, so number 5 will be a low 4 star one) are (from 5 to 1) The Play's the Thing (even though I actually liked it, I was not sure whether to put this one or Gribet here, as they're the two most average episodes), Just For Kicks (a guilty pleasure with Ace acting like a jerk and a problematic premise and moral but character development for Starlight and a few other things), Happy Birthday Sweetheart (for being forgettable, a sort of repeat of Stand By Me, and Teddy acting like more of a jerk than usual, despite him having a good reason to do this), Blue Ribbon Blues (for Sweetheart behaving unusually unpleasantly towards Teddy in some scenes and not caring about him much except at the end, Corny caring more about Yorky than Teddy at one point, and most of all Teddy having SERIOUS behavioral problems, although the episode itself was far too rough on the guy), and Shop Talk (for featuring flanderized characters, being hypocritical on moral and behavior levels, and having Lancer be a jerk rather than a nice guy. Basically, there were no good guys in this episode, just bad ones). Sorry if it seemed a little rambly. I might have to write proper reviews on each episode at some point because every episode has something to offer on the reviewing level.

Indeed they did, but I actually meant the tenth anniversary of the MLP toy brand, established in 1982. Since this episode aired in the fall of 1992, that would place it at pretty much exactly a decade after the first toys came out. In fact, a new thought just crossed my head: Was the episode made for singularly that purpose? It explains why it felt so much like a repeat of Stand By Me with Lancer in. Whilst this episode was better than Shop Talk and Blue Ribbon Blues to an extent for me, it was rather forgettable due to being similar to the said before episode, except Teddy was acting far, far worse in this episode. But really, it isn't honestly an episode I fully dislike, it just needed to fix a lot of stuff.

Tales merchandise is difficult to go by and so no one can be blamed for not finding any. I think all the possible items (save for a bag with the Rollerskate ponies on) have been covered so far in this thread.
