You guys remember her from "Ponies in Paradise," right? No? Well, I'm making a thread for her anyway. I think she's my favorite third from Lancer and second from Bright Eyes. Unfortunately, she was only in one episode. No I do plan to have her in not one, but TWO episodes of My Little Pony Tales Season 2, so be sure to look out for her.
But anyway, what do I like about her? Well, she is foreign. Yes, that was only for the episode, but that does allow for us to have someone outside of the mold that we get our regular characters are. It also allows for fanfiction writers, such as myself, to explore her world.
Another reason is that she is close friends with a member of our main cast, Bright Eyes. The thought of never letting them see each other again is unthinkable to me. I imagine that they would be able to write, but still...
Anyway, those are my thoughts on her. What do you think?

So true. I remember Moki and loved her. The fact that she will be integrated into your already good storylines will be icing on the cake. 8) I look forward to your take on her.
Her being foreign is a good thing because, not only is she unique, but she serves as someone to compare the Tales ponies' culture to. That could be good if I ever analyzed that. And yes, authors can interpret the world as they see fir. 8)
Bright Eyes and Moki were an awesome duo; unbreakable by time and space. 8)
My favorite things about her were her sweetness, her culture and belief system, and the way she and Bright Eyes played off of each other throughout Ponies in Paradise.
(And yes I'm multitasking.)

And I will say this: finding fanfiction for her is a real pain. I have yet to find something on Moki that I didn't write.

Agreed. Everyone seems to forget about those wonderful oneshot characters. Though I haven't read this particular segment of it yet, Moki appears and speaks in Parts 1, 3 and 4 of Bright Eyes' story here. Very depressing from what I've read so far, but she, by the looks of it, really comes to help Bright Eyes in Parts 3 and 4. (Corny, Rosy and Scout also appear.) Again, this is a serious story, but at least there's something Moki. (,3(

No problem. Beware that it's made me cry ten times, but that it's beautiful. )8)

I loved Moki. Haven't written her in anything yet, but I did bring her into an RP we were doing years ago. Had to change some things though, so instead of her being truly tropical, she instead lived on a resort her family operated, and was close enough that the kids could all visit each other. She used to teach guests at the resort how to surf and scuba dive. Gave her a super quirky personality too - I miss writing her. I should really try to write her into my current stories.

Funny thing; I've always had a quirky Moki too.

Very enthusiastic, for the most part. Plus, in the story I was going to write a while back but have axed for the time being, she was going to be the least culture-shocked one there because it was on an island (though it wasn't a tropical one).
But otherwise, she's just excitable and trusting.

Eeyup. She's also very fond of Bright Eyes and eager (sometimes overeager) to learn more about her environment and Ponyland culture. She was a fun pony to write; probably one of my favorites to write.

I've gotta wait, because unfortunately I am inundated in work.
But a strange thought occurred to me: where does Moki's name come from? Was it just a stroke of genius, or is it a word in a different language? I'm pulling up Google translate right now and learning.

My mind has been officially blown.
"Moki" is Lithuanian for 'solvent.' She solved Bright Eyes' misguided prejudice and was a very easygoing pony. Lithuanians are known for, according to Urban Dictionary, beautiful women, basketball and friendly people. They have beautiful water on their west coast.
...Those writers are geniuses. Pure geniuses.
