Finally, you're here! Good to see that us five people (Notes, Crazy Ace 'me', artsydreamer, Brightglow, and Starswirl) are back on this originally-thought-to-be-dead forum!

I know, Crazy Ace! I've been posting here since the very end of 2013; I believe December 26th. Yet, in just four months, you, bobdude, brightglow and StarSwirl have responded and artsydreamer has lurked. In a fandom that could have been dead years ago, that's a miracle! I think I know of a few of the fine individuals who will come back in time... I won't say who. But I have another idea as to how we could get some more people involved over here. Are all of you familiar with the blog Out of Context My Little Pony Tales? It is dedicated to showcasing the silly moments in our beloved series. It has over 200 followers at the moment! I've gone back through the posts on Out of Context and found about thirty people who are active in 'liking' and 'reblogging' posts. There are all kinds of people there! I will review and make sure that I have all of the active followers there on my list. I will then proceed to send each one who as an ask box or equivalent a message telling them about the Schoolhouse, what we do, and my vision of saving the fandom. Even if just one in ten of them comes here, we'll have three new members to chat with. That'd be fun! More than that will definitely come around here and look around the place; I think all of them will at least poke their head in as one of our beloved guests. The more people who know, the more potential fandom activists we'll have.

Nice to see some returning posters. Hey StarSwirl! Have you checked out my review/commentary of Tales, yet? If not, then here ya go. mlplexicon.proboards.com/thread/2081/where-bobdude-watchs-mlp-talesAnd I am very much aware of OOC MLP Tales, have a number of post faved and reblogged. Good luck with getting the word out Notes, I've tried dropping and line here and there on some of the more popular forums, but without much luck I think.

Reminds me of how I review the MLP episodes.

I didn't know you did reviews, StarSwirl05! Can you link them?

Glad you liked it Star, did you read just one or all of them? Also have to agree with Notes, I'm interested in your thoughts/review of Tales.

Hm!
From the five or so I've read so far, these would qualify as particularly long and extensive summaries because you don't share your opinions on the matter. These could really be summaries and reviews if you had a second paragraph on each explaining what you thought of the episode, or if you inserted opinions unintrudingly in the text. (You could have stood to break your walls of text into paragraphs.)
I know that people who write things (especially fanfic authors) would want constructive criticism. You had pretty good grammar here at least, and not a single misspelled word in the ones I've read. I suppose that I also am a bit regimented (or opinionated, it's up to you) in what makes something what it is and what makes something not something. Summaries are brief retellings, in your case turned long. Reviews explain opinions. Commentaries retell events with opinions. Analyses explain something without defined meaning, and come into play in some reviews.
...But on a second note, I really oughta write commentaries/analyses on these episodes. Or at least share some writing. Come on, you guys are beating me to a PULP! l8, I need to publish some of what I've done at the very least.

Of course, this is just my opinion, but as they stand now, they're more of summaries.
They could be reviews if you just told us what you think of each episode. That'd be kind of interesting if you summarized what you liked and what you thought could have been done better by the writers. Not only are you a genuine fan, but you've made your own seasons of Tales.

Eeyup. I've seen them. It's a great effort, and I'm inspired to write sometimes when I see them.

He's got comics? Also, have to agree with Notes, yours are alright as summaries, but they could use a bit more meat to them as it were. At the risk of sounding arrogant, think something of what I do with my take on the Tales episodes.
