Well, different strokes for different folks. I've personally skimmed them in the past, but with Tales I pay close attention to every detail, even the ones that don't suit me as well as others. *fabulous shrug; fabshrug*

I do the same with Pudgyville, though some personality had to be removed to make room for the love for being fat of course.

All right Notes, your devotion to this cartoon that I still love so much has finally brought me out of the woodwork to say hello! (I'm wispykitty!) Not sure why I haven't thought to check this place out lately, since I've been craving to chat about Tales with new people. I also have a huge number of those UK comics, so I'll start posting up some of those. I don't have access to a scanner anymore, so you guys will have to deal with some pictures of the comics, unfortunately. But there are some absolutely golden stories in those things! I've actually been compiling a list of character "facts" from the comics, things we never saw in the show. I'll bust that list out at some point this week when I have a moment (might be busy tonight so it may have to wait a day or so) but here's an interesting tidbit for you in the mean time - Melody likes to invent her own languages. But please post up some of your stories, Notes! I'm dying for new Tales fic - I especially want to read yours since you've said that you're a stickler for adhering to characterization. I added you to my ff.net watch list, so get to it. And hello to everyone else! Special shout out to Crazy Ace, because Ace is my absolute #1 favourite character of all time from any fandom. Usually everyone hates him, so it's nice to see someone appreciate him. ♥ I got to meet his voice actor (Brad Swaile) last year, and he happily still loves Ace as well. My friend and I dressed up as Bon Bon and Melody to go meet him (first people who've ever cosplayed Tales characters that he's met!) and he sang us "Play Cool". Highlight of my life.

Wow, I actually remembered my password here! lol! Anyway, got your message at the TP Notes, so here I am! And great to see you here too, Kat! ;D
It's been a long time since I've been to any Tales sites or boards, so this is nice! The fandom did kind of die down awhile back, and then FIM came out and it seemed Tales was forgotten. My husband (mlptfan) had all the Tales episodes in high quality up on YouTube until a few months ago when Hasbro forced him to take them down. So that was kind of sad, but hopefully we'll be able to put them up again at some point.
I haven't read through all the posts yet, so I guess I'll head off to do that now and catch up. Just wanted to say hi! ^-^

It's really fitting that you and I both show up at the same time! And I don't recall ever seeing your sig pic before - super cute!

Kat! Teddy! You're here at last! Good to see that me, Notes, Bob-Dude, Brightglow, Starswirl, artsydreamer, and you two are all on this forum and it looks like we're pretty much all back! P.S Kat: I'd really like to see some of those Tales comics, especially the Ace breakdancing one. I have the Jazzercise comic, it's hilarious (Madame Percheron was a football captain?)

I think we can all safely say that the fandom is revived. Now on to some new topics!

Ace breakdancing is one of my favourites! I will definitely get that one up for you. Was that Jazzercise one the one where the girls challenged the boys? Been a while since I've read through them all, but I love that one. I'll have to go through them again tonight or tomorrow, see if what I remember is legit or not. Oh and another of my favourite things I've learned from the comics that isn't common knowledge - Lancer has a nanny!

Probably isn't common knowledge because it was never indicated he had one in the show.

TEDDY AND KAT! Oh my gosh, I seriously thought I'd have to wait for your return, but I was wrong. I knew you'd come back! I'm both of your biggest fans, and I've read so much of your work, and, and... I'm actually tearing up! It's so great to finally be talking to both of you! And Crazy Ace is right; it only took four months of work, and brightglow, acehoneycomb/Crazy Ace, Teddy, Kay, bobdude, Starswirl05, and lancewing. Kat, have you BEEN LURKING AROUND IN THE BACKGROUND THE WHOLE ENTIRE TIME?! That's awesome! It's awesome that you're here! And I rolled around on the floor when I saw you said that I was devoted it, because it's true! I'd love to see that list and the comics. I was even excited when I found acemlp, your site! And Melody invents her own languages? Lancer has a NANNY? I have to edit, like, 64 chapters of TCAT to accommodate those facts! X0 And yes, ma'am! I shall get working right away! *salutes* And that's so cool that you've seen Brad Swalie! I'd love to talk to the voice actors sometime, but I don't think that'll come up, unless I somehow manage to get someone from the show to join the fandom. And Teddy, oh my gosh, now you're here too! I tried to be business like, but as you know, I'm whipping this out at the speed of light. I was wondering if you ever did meet mlptfan, but you guys have gotten married over the course of the past few years? Wow, that is really truly unexpected! 80 I thought he'd left the interwebs forever! The fandom, I think, was struggling on before, but my goal when I posted here was something like this. And thank you SO MUCH for saying hi! I certainly didn't know about those things, and I know A LOT about Tales. Can't wait to see everything!

Kat: Very interesting stuff on the comics, hope to read more. Melody making her own made up languages amuses me (I would assume they'd all be rock n roll based) and Lancer having a nanny does make a good bit of sense if his parents are always off traveling (are they? can't remember if they were or not). Is it bad of me that I wish that there was a video of you closplaying as a Tales character while singing that I could have seen you closplaying and singing with "Play Cool" with Ace himself? Because I would totally watch that video. Also, if you're looking for a Tale fic, I just finished a 9k romance fem slash one just last night (still in the rough draft format but I'm open for suggestions and constrictive criticisms) talesschoolhouse.proboards.com/thread/227/tubby-pony-tales-bons-starsTeddy: Nice to see you, funnily enough MLPfan's videos were how I originally got into Tales in the first place (I had the foresight to download them to my computer, curse you rare foreign DVDs!) BTW, how do you think Tales would have gone if it had lasted more than one season and/or had been directly tied into the Dream Valley cartoon in terms of backstory?

Awww, Notes you're adorable. ♥ I haven't been lurking the whole time, but I did used to pop by every now and then but nothing was going on. Haven't stopped by in months, otherwise I'd have said something sooner. I'm not even entirely sure how I ended up back here today, guess Teddy and I still share a wavelength since she was coming back! But oh man, my old site... Talk about embarrassing! I've been so tempted to make a new one but I'm too lazy. But yeah, Lancer's nanny shows up in a comic when the kids are collecting items for a school garage sale (which is pretty much the only time that Lancer is ever at school with the others; it totally foiled my back story that he went to a private school or had a private tutor) and his nanny suggests that he take in an old vase. She looks pretty young as well. I'll definitely get you a picture tonight since it impacts what you're doing. I can't wait to post everything I have, though! I'll definitely make sure I go over Patch and Bon Bon with a fine toothed comb for you since they're your favs. Speaking of Bon Bon - another favourite scene of mine from one of the comics shows her trying to smuggle home an ice cream cone... In her schoolbag (obviously it melts and gets all over everything).
