RUMOR: Tales Episode... In the Past?!

Hey there, goofy goobers, Notes here with some potential Tales news!

A rumor. We might end up hearing quite a few of these with Hasbro not forgetting about us. Some of them might be wild, like the notion that George Arthur Bloom did not knowingly name Clover Bloom after himself. Others will be a lot closer to home: there was an episode of Tales wherein parts were censored in some countries. Neither of these things are true or false, as far as we know. But the latter is somewhat true, because of the fat-phobic comment that was mistranslated in Princess Problems.

But today, I heard a rumor from a friend in real life. The story is, they were browsing for Tales stuff on their computer when they came across text similar to the following.

Oh yeah, there was another episode of Tales we completed. It featured the characters as baby ponies. Bright Eyes is new in town, and the group [isn't fully together yet]. It got cut out of the season because we could only fit in twenty-six episodes.

Now, that sounds extremely fantastical, especially considering there is no link or documentation that this was ever said. The only reason I'm sharing it in the first place is because of that Tales DVD; if it exists, there's a chance that it'll be mentioned on the DVD releasing in late April, or if others exist, then such could happen there.

But, because it most likely is not true, then we can just head on over and reread Baby Days or write a fanfic about the excellent possibility.

It did; he had that whole discussion on it. That's the reason why I put any weight in this rumor: we could get a new episode of Tales out of it!

If it ended up being legit, I wonder where it would've gone in the lineup or what the art style would've looked like for a baby pony and of course what the first reactions to the others meeting Bright Eyes for the first time.

Eh, as awesome as that would be, I can't see that at all. Why would they waste resources creating new character designs of the kids as baby ponies for one episode? Doesn't make any sense from a logistical standpoint - production companies would not make that kind of error in creating one extra episode. Everything gets laid out before they start animating. I would love to see the kids as baby ponies, but I can't see them ever having bothered to do that. I don't think we're getting anything extra on the DVD sadly.

What Hasbro should do is do what Big Finish audio did for the Sixth and Eight Doctors: Continue the lives of the Tales cast (set many years later obviously) in new stories (preferably longer than just ten minutes) and expand upon some of the stuff that never got a proper chance to expand upon (Teddy making a complete face turn from jerk to nice guy, Patch's strange destiny, what the deal with the Glow N show ponies are, ect).

Kat Yeah, you're probably right. The rumor is doubtful, if not IMPOSSIBLE. If anything, it'd have come from the fabled second season, which would have been in production.

The DVD thing is in fact the only thing that I disagree with you on, in fact.
