New Tales Forum!!

Hey guys! ^-^

mlptfan and I have created our own Tales forum ("Tales Mania") and would like you guys to be the first to test it out! It is on our own server, so there will be no advertising or other such nonsense. It would also be awesome to gather all Tales fans in one location that can be properly moderated.

The main function of our forum will be to gather and share Tales resources. We are also planning to release a Tales-related pony game in the near future.

Feel free to start talking in any of the subforums there since it's kind of empty at the moment. Also, feel free to re-post any fanart/fanfics/etc over there so we can gather everything in one place.

And upon rereading of the post, I agree wholeheartedly with the sentiment about gathering all of the fans in one place. That's what I've been doing for the past few months. And proper moderation is important; an issue I've also struggled with, so great!

And you're releasing a Tales pony GAME?

Why thank-you, Notes! I'm glad you agree since it was essentially YOU who brought us all back to this dusty old Schoolhouse forum.

And yes, mlptfan has been working on some pony game ideas for awhile now and we want to be able to test it out and talk about it with a small group of people when the time comes (the driving force for us to make our own Tales forum). The characters in the game will initially be from Tales, naturally. ^-^

Oh, wow, thanks! Far out. Thanks for noticing. This was the only Tales forum that really existed back in the day (other than RPG ones). But the problem was the lack of moderation. That's why I, for one, put my stamp of approval on Tales Mania. We should all gather under the white flag!

I'm so happy you feel that way, Notes! I was hoping it wouldn't offend you if we made our own Tales forum since you worked so hard to resuscitate this one. We certainly don't intend to steal anything away from all the great work you've done here, but it would be awesome to have us all together in one place eventually.

Yeah, I bet we'll all be between these two places some day. Offended? Naw, man, naw! All the work I do is a labor of love in tribute to my favorite show.

The only difference in my plans now is to try and make these forums like sister locations. Having two Tales forums in case one of them doesn't continue working for us is a great idea, I think, and even if they both last for all of eternity, we have different features in the two places. With Tales Mania, we'll have administrative powers and a few users who aren't able to be here, and the Schoolhouse is already relatively well-known, easy to track in attendance, and old members may return.

That's my opinion on the matter, anyway. They're both good places that have strengths, and in conjunction, we'll have a more steady stream of comments and the like in the fandom.

It's a real shame that the Tales Mania forum is now even more deserted than this forum is (last post was made in May!). I hope that both the forums can be revived soon enough.

Before I first logged on here, the last post on this forum was last month. With the jump in activity here, it wouldn't surprise me if the same thing happens on Tales Mania.
