I have a feeling that they really neglected Starlight, Melody and Bright Eyes in the Tales show. Starlight got very little development outside being responsible and Ms. Hackney's favorite, Melody never seemed to get any episode where she had any true depth to her (she only ever REALLY got Battle of the Bands) and Bright Eyes was basically shoved to the side until Ponies in Paradise where she FINALLY got some development outside of being smart, but then the show ended. First, let's talk about Starlight's development. Any thoughts on this?

They really did neglect Starlight in the series. She had her natural leadership skills, and Miss Hackney, and her job. This'll be a summary of some alternate interpretations you could have of her based on certain points in episodes.
Romantic Starlight - This Starlight is very quixotic about her romantic fantasies, daydreaming a lot about them. Just for Kicks is where this interpretation of Starlight originated from.
Mediator Starlight - This Starlight solves problems among her group, her group's problems with boys (sometimes) and generally corrects any injustice involving her friends.
Cool Starlight - This Starlight is very well-rounded, having smarts, beauty, popularity, kindness and all the rest. She's very outgoing (maybe around her crushes as well) and might be a touch more playful and quick to joke than she was in the show.
