Definitely. She would probably appreciate her dad more while straying away from her friends and their happy families while they did happy family things. Frankly, if I wrote the mother's day story, the emphasis would be more on Lancer or Melody for an interesting story, because the former would have some angst and possibly a happy meeting between him and his parents, and the latter would have some deep emotions because of how close they are in the comics.
But if I wanted lighthearted fluff, I'd write the others, especially Patch and her mom or Rosy and the queen. Maybe I can write a series of oneshots, but that'd go beyond mother's day.

Would be interesting if Bright Eyes had just her dad, would make for an interesting comparison comparison to Melody's working class mom.

That's part of the point, bobdude. It could be really interesting.

Or a possible story where BE's dad and Mel's mom start dating. Boy will that be deliciously awkward for the two friends.

That's just what we were talking about. (I was about to say I was on it, but figured you'd heard enough on the matter.)

Glad to see I've caught up then. Anyone willing to go through a write this or are we still brainstorming the idea?

I could. I've been feeling a bit uninspired as of late. But I don't know.
