Yes, there are a few fanfics out there, including mine, that actually gave Teddy a sister, at least that's to my knowledge. And yes, Teddy, I am referring to yours. Now, we were both able to explain her absence, but their stories are pretty different.
For example, Rose (Teddy's character) was thought to be dead when she was really being cared for by other relatives. I can't really go more into her backstory without bringing up her parents, and I really wanna wait until another thread to discuss THEM, so we shall leave it at that. If there is any information that is missing, I do apologize; it has been a while since I read the story.
He also had a brother in that story named Donny, but like I said, it has been a while since I read the story, so I can't really speak much on that right now.
Flare, (my character) was actually kidnapped when she was six, but she was rescued when she's ten (sixteen in The New Generation, (prequel to Celestial Force). She goes through Post Traumatic Stress Disorder as a result, so much so that she ends up getting a service dog, thanks to Bright Eyes and Lancer. Additional note, she was the one who gave Teddy the teddy bear when HE was bullied and she was the reason he kept it for so long, and still does for sentimental reasons. Teddy's also very protective of her due to the incident.

I noticed that both stories happened to give Teddy a sister! In both he's a bit overprotective and she has as bad of a tragic past as Teddy.
Do they really give away service dogs to people with post-traumatic stress? If so, I was totally unaware of that! (80
Sometimes I feel like I seriously need to join on the Teddy's past bandwagon, but all I have is his dad and mom (Mr. Tidwell and an undeveloped character) and them having a difficult time reigning him in, hence his outbursts and bad behavior. Unlike other authors in this fandom, I see him as a normal ten-year-old who happens to have a fiery temper and some unpredictability. He's just nicer to Sweetheart, even though he blows up at her too sometimes (and feels pretty bad for it).

They have to pay a little money to get a service dog, which is where Lancer comes in. LOL But yes, Flare has a service dog named Scout.
Also, yeah I think more people should give some kind of backstory to all of the Tales characters.

Aww! That sounds so sweet! Good thing Flare and Lancer are friends! (3
I agree on the backstory thing, though.
I've got of the girls at least thought through by now, too. The only one that's really of note is Bon Bon's story of coming from a different city only a few months before Slumber Party after facing a lack of attention from her family and abuse from peers (one cousin in particular). Once I get through finer details of the girls, I'll move on to the boys, who aren't as pressuring because the fandom has some theories.

Okay. I pretty much mentioned that Bright Eye's mother passed away.

You did. I happen to share that headcanon in my stories. 8)

So yeah, she's pretty close to her dad, but more on that later.

I've always thought that too; Bright Eyes seems like a daddy's girl to me. That, and he has a good sense of humor. (That's actually a trend in my stories. Clover's, Bon Bon's, Patch's, and Bright Eyes' dad all love a good joke.)

I also have Flare developing a crush on Logan.

Yeah, I just read that chapter the other day! It's so awesome that Logan is getting some screen-time, haha. One story I read on LiveJournal had Starlight and Logan shipping in the background (though it was more about AcexTeddyxSweetheart). Glad to see that nice guy about. 8)
But I love Flare and Logan! It's so adorable! c3(

I've had a variety of siblings for Teddy, and they all depend on what kind of family situation he's in. For instance: my first Teddy had a mom who got remarried after splitting from his dad (his dad was a jerk anyway, so it was a happy split for Teddy and his mom). The step-father brings in two daughters (older than Teddy) and he ends up not getting along with any of them (step-father or sisters; the sisters in particular treat him like a slave). His mom is happy to have girls around, so she ends up not paying him as much attention because the girls are angels to her. When Teddy complains about them, his mom actually takes their side (because she's never around when they're mean to him). So the poor guy has a miserable time at home. I've also given him a younger sister - but I usually only do that when I'm dealing with him having a super abusive father (and Teddy in turn becoming suicidal, but only sticking around for his sister until his dad pushes him too far). He does get along with the younger sister really well, though he tries to make Ace promise to look after her "if anything ever happens to him". I've actually never given him a brother though, I don't think. I always see him as having a sister or two. Which is kind of why I love putting him with Bon Bon - so he can have her brothers to interact with. I haven't really settled on my exact main head canon for him yet though - although I'm leaning toward him being an only child. His parents aren't as abusive as I usually make them (in fact they're mostly just lazy alcoholics, who moreso neglect him than physically or mentally abuse him). Hence why he tries to spend as much time with his friends as possible (and why he hates going to the farm, because his aunt and uncle are so much nicer than his own parents and he's jealous of Corny), and really takes a shining to BB's younger siblings (Rusty in particular, when they're teenagers). I have a weakness for Teddy teaching Rusty how to do tricks on a skateboard. ♥

Interesting! I've read some of your fics with the second headcanon, and it works really well! (Harley was cute.) For some reason, Flare, Harley AND Rose remind me of Princess Rosy from the Princess Problems episode with her blue hair dye. Not sure why, though!
The Rusty learning skateboarding tricks from Teddy was adorable. And the idea you're leaning in on sounds more realistic than most. The Teddy's parents throw him against the wall, call him mean names and make him suicidal things have never worked for me because that's not the Teddy I know. )8,)
Teddy being a total guitarhead at Corny's farm because of jealousy... interesting idea. I always thought Teddy disliked Corny just because he was too nice to him despite his meanness to him in turn, and maybe Corny trying to teach Teddy lessons he doesn't want to learn.

Point #3: Yeah, I don't see him with any brothers either. Point #4: Teddy skateboards?
