Yeah; I'd seen comic before where there is Mrs. Clover chillaxing at the library. That actually is true about the kids too.
And that is really awesome, though. Melody's father being missing just opens up a whole world of emotional possibilities, even if he has been gone for a while. It'd also explain a bit in the show, like how Patch asked Melody specifically whether she'd miss her mother, rather than asking any of her other friends. Maybe both Patch and Melody have the who-am-I dilemma because Melody's mom is trying to protect her, or it's too painful? Maybe I can come up with something less cliched with more thought on the matter.
Haha, you're right about the laziness of the colors and the sunglasses, though. Good to know they'll be somewhat rectified later on. 8)
And noted on the comics coming later; I'll look forward to that! That's cool about Dazzle, though I love her colors. Fittingly in contrast to suit her perky attitude. Plus I like orange and green together.

By the way, Kat, do you own Issue 223/224 of the original comic or Issue 51 of MLP and Friends? Could you take photos of these issues? I'd really like to see them.

I own 51, but I don't have 223 (there is sadly no 224, according to MyLittleWiki the original series only went to 223). Or at least I don't think I have 223 - I do have one issue that has no cover on it, so I have no idea which number it is (I'm pretty sure it's one of the MLP & Friends though because it has more stories in it than the original comics did). I'll try to do 51 for you soon.

Does the issue with no cover have Lancer in it as a purple pony with pink hair, or not? If so, it could be MLP and Friends 41. If not, check the Pony Land Postbag/My Little Readers and Friends for information on the next issue. It will tell you the number for the next issue (usually) and the contents (sometimes) and the date it is coming out (always). As for MLP and Friends 51, I'd very much like to see it, as I only have MLP and Friends issues up to 46 (I have a straight run of them from 38 to 46). Maybe tonight?

I've added two full comics to my album (207 and 39) and I've organized the album into sub-albums for each comic, just to keep things a bit neater and more organized. Let me know if you have trouble reading of them and I'll type the text out, since I know some of them came out fuzzier than I realized.
Also wanted to know if anyone has copies of the following comics that I'm missing and would be able to scan them or take pictures?
MLP: 205, 219, 223 MLP&F: 46, 50

And actually using your hint about the Postbag my unknown comic is either 47 or 50. Can you check your copy of 46 to see what is says about the next comic? I have 49, but it doesn't give any specifics about what's coming up in 50. It features the following stories: Patch, Brighteyes, and Bon Bon go snorkelling with Mr. Sunbrite Clover dealing with her hay fever Starlight, Patch, and Melody at the Ponyland Spring Carnival (Melody accidentally unties a hot air balloon) Patch skateboarding and working at the ice cream parlour Melody using the wrong recipe for a school project The ponies go to the town hall to see Bon Bon's dad receive a special medal from the mayor for his services as a firepony

I just realized that these are from the UK, so football = soccer, not American football for the toughness... why on EARTH would someone challenge Patch to a football competition where your pride is at stake?!
But these comics are epic! I LOVE them!
But I must ask... are you serious about those comic subjects? Patch knows how to skateboard, and she does so while working at the Ice Cream Parlor? Melody unties a hot air balloon? Bon Bon snorkels with Bright Eyes and Patch? I've either got another subplot on hoof, or my headcanon was even more pooped on than it was before... But those sound crazy awesome nonetheless!

Oh right, I'm so used to referring to soccer as football myself that I forget that most people in North America don't. Glad you realized though before it confused you too much. And yes I'm serious about them! Patch not only knows how to skateboard, but is showing Sweetheart and Clover her skills (they're both trying to learn) - she ends up doing really poorly at the ice cream parlour until she starts skateboarding around! Melody unties the balloon without realizing it (she trips over the rope, but doesn't bother looking what it's attached to, so she thinks she's rectifying a safety hazard); Bon Bon actually doesn't end up snorkeling, sorry - she stays in the boat (which has a glass bottom), but the other two go in the water.

I need to get used to it myself. Because I've grown up in this American bubble, and I haven't been on the internet for long, some things need to be learned. At least I don't stereotype, because I would be in for a surprise.
I guess you could say that Patch... ramped it up a bit when she started skateboarding around in the ice cream shop, ah? AH? ...No?
At least tell me that Patch wasn't teaching her friends how to skateboard inside the Ice Cream Shop... right? That would be as ludicrous as Ace driving the girls down to PTV in Meet Dazzle. Either way, for Melody's untying a balloon, I'll bet Mr. Kiddoo will be quite unhappy with Miss Hackney for the deal... "What is up with your students and disrespecting the sport of ballooning?!"
Yes. YES. My headcanon of non-swimmer Bon Bon still stands, without more excrement on it! AND she and Patch, two misguided, prejudiced little ponies, get to chillax at Tropical Island while Bright Eyes teaches them about their culture. Come to think of it, I might be able to write a scene where Bon Bon is afraid because she thinks she will get eaten... hm...

Kat, the coverless issue you have is 47. The cover features Patch by the ocean, and so that hinted me to what issue it was. My copy of 46 says 'IN THE NEXT ISSUE, AS WELL AS THE USUAL MIXTURE OF FUN, EXCITEMENT, AND ADVENTURE, YOU WILL ALSO RECEIVE A FREE FOIL STICKER OF BON BON! DON'T MISS IT!', so that means your comic must have originally come with a free foil sticker of Bon Bon (I saw the sticker on ebay a few days ago).

I find it interesting how the comics follow the cartoon continuity EXACTLY, so many things from the Tales series, such as the Starlight/Ace thing (they were seen sitting together on one cover) are expanded upon in the comics. Also, Kat, I have 205, and so will be able to tell you its content (since you already have some information from MLP and Friends 46, strangely enough, where do you get that information from?). The stories are: Ms. Hackney's New Project: Ms. Hackney gives the kids a homework project where they must invent something original. Starlight and Sweetheart work together to make a new hairstyle, Bon Bon makes a new recipe for something, and so on. On the date the project is due, the kids show up with their respective projects, all except Patch, who is late, but instead shows up with a homemade yet functioning gocart. There is also one other recycled story from a earlier comic about the 'Amazing Odzukins' returning and something about Baby Mischief. Activities included a board-game type one about school and a school-related wordsearch. None of the boys show up in the issue, except Teddy, who shows up in a Bon Bon diary entry at the end as a red pony with blue hair.

Are ya sure you couldn't upload them for us to see, acehoneycomb? Because that sounds AWESOME! If not, then is that all? I need to know every last detail I can!
And I KNEW Patch could make a go-cart if she wanted to, by the way. 83 She's cool like that.

I actually had 205 at one point, but I gave it to my friend as a present since my boys weren't in it. As for 46 - a friend of mine has it, and let me keep it for a while to jot down info from it. But I myself don't actually own it yet.

All right so I finally got around to uploading more! I've added 209 and 212. Sadly though that's the end of the comics I've taken pictures of, so now I need to snap some more. Not sure when I'll get around to doing that but hopefully sooner than later.
