Wow! These are awesome! That hospital one was so sweet! Melody has the best ideas, and Bright Eyes agrees in the only way she knows how: by saying she also had the genius to come up with it. And Ace's dancing is pretty darn hilarious too. Adorable. 8) It's funny how they leave out Sweetheart from the cheering up sick ponies if she wants to be a doctor, and how they leave Patch out because she's the comedian. 8, But still adorable! I love the Bon Bon's Diary one too! "As long as I don't stuff myself with candy floss and popcorn!" And Clover would be the cutest tap dancer in the world. (Then Ace makes his glorious return. )

Yeah, I found it was weird that they didn't at least draw Sweetheart in at the hospital scene. Patch on the other hand - perhaps she has a fear of hospitals? Could be a fun thing to explore. Bon Bon's Diary is a recurring thing in the comics, and I love it. Clover would be super cute doing tap, I agree with you on that. But yeah, Ace showing off his breakdancing skills kills me every time!

I know, right?! )80 And Patch couldn't have a fear of hospitals because I'd bet she lands herself in there a lot. But that is a good idea... dangit, I want to keep my headcanon straight with her. I don't wanna have ten different backstories for her like you do for Ace, no!!! DX (Maybe she lands herself in there a lot even though she's terrified of them...)
Again, those were awesome. Ditto on Clover. Ace is pretty awesome at breakdancing though. XD
I read through the others last night, too. They are as good as they say they are! I know I spotted way more than five things wrong with the Bon Bon's kitchen one. It's not just poltergeist cakes and sthingys or cooking books, it's the fact that she's wearing a blue hat that doesn't even resemble a chef's hat. l8. Highlights in the others include (of course) Ace's birthday party, TAPCH saving VERCLO in her snazzy blue cape, NBO NBO dancing on a car, Teddy getting what I wish they'd done in the show, some Just for Kicks continuity, and Melody writing a cheesy romance song. What could be better?!
Seriously, though, those comics already tried to trample all over my headcanon that Bon Bon is more terrified of water than Teddy ever was because she can't swim. (The only reason she got on the dock in Lemonade Stand Wars being that she had the biggest crush on Ace.) Maybe she managed to get close to the water without freaking out...?

I actually don't see Patch as ever really getting injured - at most she'd break an arm once (and doing something stupid, like tripping over something). I've always seen her as the lucky kid who does crazy things like jumping off of high things (house roof/swingset/tall tree) but always somehow miraculously escaping injury. She thinks she's indestructible and almost seems to be, most of the time. But you could have her be terrified of hospitals maybe because she does land there often? One thing that happened to me that may help you out, actually: when I was 9 I broke my arm, and got a big cast on it. When it came time to get the cast off, the doctor was quick to assure me that the blade they use for cutting the cast can't cut skin (so I wouldn't be afraid of it). But as he was cutting the cast off I kept complaining that it hurt - at which point he kept telling me that it can't cut skin and that I was fine. However when the cast came off, I had a long cut down my arm from the saw. You could always have something like that happen - have a doctor be mean to her while she's complaining about something, only to have her complaint be true (but then have the doctor be mean about it anyway). It might make her wary of doctors and hospitals. Maybe someone taught her how to swim in between that time? Or maybe she was taught how to swim but then had a near drowning accident anyway that made her terrified all over again?

I'm sorry, but that's just plain awesome. I might say that she landed her friends in the hospital once or twice.
But wow, I can't believe that happened to you! I thought that the grown-up doctors were nice. That memory fits, too, I guess. I've still got to figure all of this out... never thought about it much...
I don't know... There do exist people who simply can't float. Maybe she just happens to be one of them. Darn it, my brain hurts. lB.

Looks like Bon Bon and her mom have the wrong hair colors.

Oh I do like the idea of her being responsible for friends getting injured. It definitely could happen! And yeah, my doctor was super nice about it afterwards and felt really bad, whereas I was actually just happy to prove that I had been right, haha! It's like, I didn't even care that much that my arm was cut (obviously it wasn't a deep cut, more of a long scratch) I just wanted to wave it in his face and be all "SEE!! I told you so!!" And I actually can relate to that because I can't tread water at all. I can float on my back fine, but treading water has never ever worked for me, I always start sinking!

Ha ha! Sounds like you were an awesome nine-year-old then.
Yeah, some relatives of mine are that way. They aren't afraid of bodies of the stuff but just can't. That's coming from a Floridian.

Firstly, the Britishness of these comics amuses the heck out of me. Second, Ace break dancing is very funny! Thirdly, Bon Bon must really wanted to change mane colors (also like the font for her comic logo thing)and lastly, the dancing thing at the hospitable was VERY cute.

Ting-A-Ling and Jing-A-Ling are so cute in these things! Even though their gender is messed up in these comics (Melody actually said they were her sisters in the show) they're just so adorable I want to squeeze them!

Huh, and I also realized that Melody's mom has totally different colors than she does in the show.

The comic colorers probably couldn't be bothered to look at the show. I mean, they called her Mrs. Melody, who by the way seems to be actually married in this comic.
Augh, are these comics trying to screw us up?!

They refer to all the parents as "Mrs./Mr. Child's Name" which is super annoying (though it is what kids tend to do anyway, that or the "friend's mom/dad"). But there is zero sign of Melody's father anywhere in the comics, so he's definitely not around. I like to think he hasn't been around for a while, because Mel's never a brat about helping her mom out (whereas if he was newly gone/dead/etc) she'd be way more unstable in terms of her family. There's no excuse for the improper colours though, that's just pure laziness on the part of whoever was overseeing this thing. Later on everyone has the proper colouring, but the earlier comics get screwed up at times. Though I do LOVE Teddy's white sunglasses. So ahead of their time. There are complete character overhauls - Dazzle, for example, looks totally different in the comics (she looks way better in the comics actually, in my opinion). I'll try to get more up later this week - busy tonight but hopefully Thursday night I may have some free time.
