Yeah these new bronies can not see the good things in the earlier generations of MLP. I even got "nesty" comment once when I'm mentioned I'm in the fandom since 2008

I've noticed. Unfortunately, my first real exposure of Tales (after the obligatory watch-an-episode-of-each-generation) was Mr. Tommy Oliver's short-sighted review that highlighted all of the reasons FiM is better than Tales. I got into it afterwards after seeing whether those conjectures had an inkling of truth about them. But, because I could have sworn that I saw Bon Bon in the background of a recent episode trying to win a runway contest, the animators, the writers or SOMEBODY on the staff of FiM still remembers.
Whatever 'nesty' means, I sure wouldn't want a comment on being like a green-winged songbird's dwelling over being in a fandom for a certain amount of time... I admit many of the things the bronies make are bedazzling and amazing, but they aren't nearly as nice as the Tales fandom.

I remember I saw two Bon Bons in the Running of the leafs episode before the race begin. Have you read any MLP Tales fanfictions? Because I could show you some of my favourites.

Have I read Tales fanfiction? I've found nearly every one out there and am refrigerating them for a rainy day, just like I tortured myself with Too Sick to Notice and Battle of the Bands.
I'd love links to your favorites; both because I may not have seen them yet, and because I'm in a Tales-y fanfic mood these days.

You said you almost discovered every MLP Tales fan fictions so you might be familyar with Teddy's fanfictions right? www.angelfire.com/tx3/teddysplace/stories.htmlSince there are not too mutch MLP Tales romantic fictions so if I want to read some than reread the old ones. Anyway from Teddy's fanfiction the Innocent Lost and the the Turning Circles. I remember Teddy just finished the second one only a few years ago afther 10 years haitus. Even it was a good one in it's time I'm sure tin these days I would rather read someting more romantic and maature (M rated maybe). My other favourite MLP Tales fanfictions can be found here: sweetheartnteddy.tripod.com/stories1.htmLet's start with the Boys Vs Girls. This is a comedic fanfiction of the friendly rivalism between the boys and the girls. This might be odd but my favourite part of the fanfiction is the conversation between the girls in the begining because I think the author cought well the personalities of the ponies especially Melody's. I mean she is a kind girl and good friend but sometimes she can stomp into her friends feelings and she don't even notice it. What would happen? Well it's a good little romantic fanficftion. Don't change! Wel it's a really hevy fanfiction dealing woith the problem of drug using. And for last: When forever ends. It's a small reunion story. I remember to a few other fanfictions from other sites but they disappeared when Yahoo shot down the Geocities. Oh you mith hear from the Worlds Apart. It's a mostly OC hevy fanfiction serie playing in both the MLp Tales Area and on the post G1 Ponyland. www.pony.wallpaper-studio.com/Ponyland.htmlWhat are your own favourites fanfictions?

Oh, yes, I'm familiar with Teddy's fanfictions! One half of me adores those stories (I often reread the later ones) and I try to shut out the other side that likes analyzing each thing. Fanfictions in Tales as a whole I find aren't great for analyzing.
I'm saving many of the SweetheartnTeddy stories because, from the one or two I've read, I've gleaned that it's pretty good material. And don't worry about being considered odd; I'm not easy with characterization, and I ship anyone, even the main characters, if it works. So true about Melody, too.
That stinks that Geosites went down; I've noticed that Yahoo shut them down.
Worlds Apart is a bit difficult for me to trudge through, admittedly. In addition to the characterization nitpicking, I've been tempered to be apprehensive of alicorn OCs (and OCs as a whole) by the brony fandom.
Lots of my favorite stories are on LiveJournal; pretty much any one on there is a favorite. I also like Odyssey for Truth by Mari. If you like Mature Romance and don’t mind Ace/Teddy, December Romeo by Crescentium on FanFiction.net is a good read too. But to be honest, if it has Tales names inside, I’ll give it a sure shot.

Yeah, I like speculating too and try to figure out things that are behind some character and their actions. Forexample in the begining of the Blue Ribbon Blues episode when Teddy losts Sweetheart's picnicbasket and it fells into river he mentions even he can swim he fears from the water. Later at the end of the episode he proves he can not just swimming but he can step trough his fears when her cousin trapped in the river. So there must be some kind of bad experience in Teddy's past and I just can't stop wondering what it could be. I need to mention that even we couldn't see Teddy's pearants we could her his mother voice once and it didn't sound to good for me. In the fanfictions I read the authors cought that point very well. I mean there are some good points in the cartoon where you can see Teddy has a hard life in his family and he is just try to compensating with his bulling behavior. I liked the idea of secret twin sis in Teddy's fanfictions.
The other big mystery for me is Patch. I saw you visited the topic I opened once to discusting about why Patch is so special. I wish the show wouldn't be cancelled s soon so maybe we could get answers to some of the questions that left open. I belive there was a plan for more than one season but it was shot down.
and yup it seems the proboard forums gets automatic updates.

Hm! Teddy is where the entire fandom (in the past) put its focus on. I've heard of Blue Ribbon Blues as the pinnacle of the 'Teddy is an abuse victim' theory in way of evidence, but Shop Talk and Bon Bon's Diary often fall in as other supporting details.
I cannot pretend like I have an extraordinary story about Teddy's past. I've tried to come up with a realistic, all-encompassing backstory for Teddy, but I can only fathom that he is an average 10-year-old boy. His aggressive behaviors and the like come from his immaturity, in my theory, and his parents are stable and kind, but just can't control him. Oh, and that Teddy's full name is Teddy Tidwell and Mr. Tidwell from Stand By Me is his dad. XD
Teddy's fear of the water despite knowing how to swim is unusual but not unheard of. Maybe there's something interesting there, though, as I've noticed some people blaming water for his mom's death. I'd give them an introduction to logic like with Teddy angst (his mom appeared THREE EPISODES OF NORMAL CHARACTERIZATION AGO) but I digress big time.
Teddy is my least favorite out of the cast. (HERESY!) Because of that I could be slightly biased. To my knowledge, I give Bon Bon (one of my favorites) a bit of a bad backstory that encompasses everything, AND a whole plethora of hardly grounded fears. But then, I've found she's counterproductive in dealing with those fears and that backstory. Teddy must be more proactive or abrasive on his, though, so...
Patch. Goodness, I haven't done a good job of this at all, except that something supernatural surrounds her story. I cite evidence from Up, Up and Away, Princess Problems and Slumber Party (for obvious reasons.) She's the most prone to paranormal activity, though her friends obviously can't see or hear it. But whenever I think about this, I find that the magic existence is inconsistent, because the King and Queen of the Island Pony (HOW DOES GOVERNMENT WORK?!) are in power because they are Glow-N'-Show (or some other toy type, never huge into it because I can't buy on eBay), where their manes sparkle and glow.
But then, even though the confusing government uses magic, little ponies are still skeptics and can't believe that there are other things out there? Maybe the idea of glowing magical ponies who have wings and horns who run around in a sparkle ball of goodness flying around to save ponies is a bit outlandish, but they couldn't be as close-minded as Bon Bon. Speaking of the glowing ponies and Bon Bon, I have to wonder what she thinks saved them in that episode, and whether to use it as shipping fuel for Patch x Bon Bon shipping...
In conclusion, I should really work harder to find a backstory for Patch, make sure I'm not missing anything with Teddy, and take a break from long fanfics about Bon Bon. And reply to any other replies on this forum.

I would love to see some real Tales references in the FiM series... On the topic of fanfiction, I really need to write my crossover between Tales and FiM (well, its more of a FiM fic but has some Tales stuff in it). Maybe I'll post it once it's done.

I dunno. I didn't like how the Breezies looked here. They looked like they hadn't eaten in a while and the G3s didn't need that other stuff to get going.

fullmetalderpyhooves: PLEASE DO! There are so many takes on it, and I'd love to see your stories too! They'll have to have references beyond background characters looking vaguely similar to the ponies some day. )8, That or I'll make like the bronies do and jump off the fandom's bandwagon.
I thought they could have done better with the breezie design, and the really young ponies at Sweetie Belle's party, but Seabreeze was the cutest little thing! I'd love to see him in either G3 style or in your style. He'd be adorable either way!
