I think he's absolutely ADORABLE!! I know he's kind of a jerk sometimes, but that's just because he has poor social skills.  Like, seriously though? If Teddy were real (and I was a pony, lol) I would totally pounce him. >;D |

I think Teddy's bully personality is just an "armor" and Teddy use it to hide his real feelings from the others. Teddy's social skills are poor because his pearants social skills are poor too and some intresting things could happen in Teddy's past. Example Teddy feared from the water when he knows to swimm (Blue ribbon blues).
I find his mother's voice so harsh.

I have to agree with both of you. In summary, he seems like a toasted marshmallow to me- a bit tough on the outside, but gooey and warm on the inside.  |

I imaged him like a musical instrument, only Sweetheart can play on it well (make him kind) but she need to practice some times. (some times Teddy is bully whit Sweetheart too).

Honestly, teddy comes across as an atypical 10 year old boy... He's unsure of how to deal with girls so does things to get attention.... He simply tries to show off and hasn't figured out really how to... act... around them... With just lancer and ace around, he's pretty nice and normal... He's loyal hes trusting, but he gets angery with himself and lashes out on innamiate objects if things go wrong.
alot of what he does is putting up an act, a fake mask, to hide who he really is as well... Hes scared that the other boys will think hes a wimp or such, if they findout what he's really like.

Amen, sistah! Thank you, its the way I see him. I almost feal sorry for him at times, because I can see past the bullying to the heart and reason he does things. Fealing left out, alone, with none of the girls past sweetheart wanting to pay attention to him, when he finds bonn bonn's diery he takes advantage of her, more just to be close then to be acutally mean. |

I hated Teddy at first. Was more into the girls than the guys. But then spending 19 hours animating him changed my mind. I choosed to animate Teddy because his design was easy. But every pen stroke made me feel closer to him.
The best animation of Teddy is when he ROFLs in the barn, episode Blue Ribbon Blues.

I hated Teddy at first. Was more into the girls than the guys. But then spending 19 hours animating him changed my mind. I choosed to animate Teddy because his design was easy. But every pen stroke made me feel closer to him. The best animation of Teddy is when he ROFLs in the barn, episode Blue Ribbon Blues. In general all the tales animation is great, specially the mane and tail styles... its something they didn't do previously or since... tales each pony had their own perfered hair style... you could have 5 ponies iwth pink manes standing side by side, and still tell them appart just by their styles. as apposed to say the new g3, where every single pony has the exact same hair style, and its just colors that are different... as well as that magical forlock that always flips to the side away from the camra, so as the ponys head turn, the mane flip turns to match. |

When Teddy was at his worst, I found him to be an even bigger jerk than Ace. I thought it was low when he told the girls he hopes they lose the swimming competition in "Happy Birthday, Sweetheart". Him being willing to sign a truce does show he has a sensitive side, though. When he's being a klutz, though, he's hilarious.
