What references to other things have you found in MLPT Episodes?
I've found:
An Apple for Starlight appears to be a title pun off of teachers getting the apple and Starlight became the teacher because Mrs Hackney wasn't feeling well.
Bon Bon's name and symbol together are a pun off the french word.
Teddy's name references how soft he is, like a teddy bear, which he has.

Bon Bon's name and symbol together are a pun off the french word. Teddy's name references how soft he is, like a teddy bear, which he has. Apple for starlight isn't a pun... Just a statement. But.... names like Chaval <french for horse>, mrs Persheron <a breed of french horses>... Place names like Shetland mills and Corsair falls <lancers familly visits there, and again reference to Shetland ponies, and Corsair is french for pirate but also a reference to light warhorse calvery who use speed and hit and run tactics.> now its also interesting to note that the ponies have "real" familly names or last names... with the exception of Bon Bon, most horses have a single firstname, and an actual familly name, Clover Bloom, posey barringsten. |

This thread is so confusing... I don't get what you guys mean at all in some cases. X0 But most of what I understand on this thread is just hidden meanings. There are TONS of references in Tales if you just look! - Lithuania is an island known for basketball, beautiful women and friendly people. "Moki" means "solvent" in Lithuanian. Because I now have chemistry knowledge, I know that solvents are substances in which solutes are dissolved. Moki dissolved Bright Eyes' fears. Kat also said that it meant "deer" in a native American language, but I like my theory.
- There is a 1986 movie called "Stand by Me." A quartet of inseparable friends tries to solve a mystery, if Google is to be trusted. Sweetheart and Teddy (made inseparable by Sweetheart's conviction for him) solve the mystery of who really stole Melody's tape recorder.
- In 1991 there is a movie called "Father of the Bride." A father is worried about his daughter getting married, I believe.
