You know, I was actually planning on doing something like this to cap off my review of Tales when it eventually finishes up, but now I can just link your Doc Notes!

Looking forward to it Notes! Sadly I've been juggling a number of different writing projects myself (Pony stuff, sumo stuff, Ever After High stuff, pony reviews) to the point where I can't seem to sit down and get fully started on any of them. Oh well.

And for the world of Tales in general I suppose.
My head canon for Mrs. Hackney, comes from the Isle of Pony (the Tales stand in for the entirety of the UK) but moved to Coltenvillie to teach and may or may not be Susan Foreman from Doctor Who.
Other uncontroversial headcanons is the idea that Clover's dad is a pretty successful sculpture artist, if that bathroom in Out of Luck is anything to go by.

I suppose what type of musical band the Bays are depends on how you look at it. They could be a boy band, a legit rock band, or something else all together. I guess I go back and forth between the Bays being a rock band, and being a parody of New Kids and their ilk because rule of funny.

Ironically, trying to take a break from the Pony fandom in genreal to work on other things. Just when I think I'm out, the Tales ponies pull me back in!

Let me put it this way Notes, if you could slap the word extreme onto it, it was a sport in the 90s (expect for sumo wrestling, which is something I might have t o one day rectify). Tales being a late 80s/early 90s setting (JUST LIKE DRAGON BALL!), would be fun to play up the cultural elements of the times with a hearty knowing wink as it were. Like the VR episode that would no doubt have eventually come to pass had the show continued. Then again I also peg the Mane Seven as much more open about nonfriendship based relationships compared to the Mane Six. The Mane Seven would give Bulk Biceps a long stare of admiration (save for Patch). I'm still going with the idea of Cleaveland Bays being a stand in for the New Kids on the Block (minus the comic book stuff www.misterkitty.org/extras/stupidcovers/stupidcomics239.html)

Add in her weight issues and Bon Bon's teen years are going to be hellish, thank goodness she has the rest of her friends to have her back. ^^
And now I'm thinking that Plus sized model Bon Bon would be almost on par with Melody as a flirt (will go into more detail in my Melody headcanon when someone puts that thread up) with different ponies.
Patch has a lot of potential headcanon based fun to be had, being the eccentric weirdo of the group. Could see her trying out the data scene in highschool, only to eventually give it up (but not before going on a sympathy date with Clover for Homecoming, plus she gets the wear a suite, which is fine by her).
And yes, those models did exist (in Bon's brain if nothing else), though why Bon Bon is imaging Meadowlark as a nurse raises very odd and uncomfortable questions. ;D

You know I think you're on to something with that child psychologist, although Psychiatrist might work slightly better if this website is to be believed. education-portal.com/articles/Psychologist_vs_Psychiatrist_Whats_the_Difference.htmlAnd you just know Sweetheart would raise some eyebrows at some of the Mane Six's past antics. SH: Tell me Miss Shy, Have you thought of changing your name to something that doesn't call to mind your introvert personality or weak flying abilities?" Could also see her correcting ponies when they call her either a Psychiatrist/ psychologist as oppose to either a Psychiatrist or psychologist. Something along the lines of Bones McCoy's famous catch phrase or the like. Somehow I get the feeling that if Tales had continued a skateboard episode (along with an episode dedicated to the wonders of virtual reality, bout 20 years early to THAT party) would have been enventiable. Extremeness would hopefully have been optional. Why am I now seeing this hypothetical kid as an orphan with SH and Ted eventually adopting him as their own? Because that's just heart meltingly cheesy enough to work as far as I'm concerned. ^^

Sweetheart seems like the type of girl who would save herself for marriage regardless of any sort of religion, but either way could work.
Also, as much as an emotional sap as I am, I have to admit that I like your idea of Sweetheart and Teddy going through two really bad relationships before ending up with one another, fits in with the 'realism' of the Talseverse I think.
And somehow Teddy knowing how to ride a skateboard/opening up a shop based on them makes an odd amount of sense. Bart Simpson, eat your shorts.
Funnily enough, I could see either my idea or your idea for Sweetheart future job working Kat. If only there was a way to combine the two...
Wonder if the Talesverse has a magic mirror pool of its own? ;D
