Those ponies that were seen one night when the road was closed would probably run a Spirit Deck.

If there are any science ponies, they could run a Frog deck.

He'd have the shortest dialogue ever: "ribbet"

Either way, just imagine figuring out what he's planning.

"Spot, what is it that you're planning?"
"Gribet."
"Oh, shoot. You defeated my last monster you."
"...Gribet."
Seriously, though. That Spot is the very reason there are chapters beyond the Gribet one in one of my stories. The silly frog, foiling plans...

Unless the opponent is familiar with Spot's cards, they won't be able to do anything against them.

Yeah, haha! It's pretty similar in Pokemon. I could picture Spot using a Sableye with Prankster. That'd let him give the opponent a status before getting hit.
I bet Spot would end up in the championships against... *gasp* MR. TIDWELL!

Of course, Spot is probably likely to die from attacks though.

Of course, teaching him how to duel is the big challenge.

Yeah, but one Sweetheart could face.
Pokemon can be just mashing the FIGHT button and attacking the gyms, or it could be mathematics and strategy. Depends on the player, yanno?
