Practically the same thing. Both care for patients, it's just that a vet is more specific.

No, they are very different... They have different knowledge of different diseases, and different medications, and of different surgeries. I see how someone could assume otherwise, but... no, those jobs are very dissimilar.

That's not very different. Both are quite similar: Both take care of their patients Both attend to animals (humans are animals after all). They may have different info that they look for but that's because they aren't dealing with the same species.

I personally think that, yes, they deal with patients. That means something dealing with health; physical health in particular. But they go to medical school to learn totally different things. A doctor couldn't prescribe the right painkiller to a dog, and a vet couldn't properly watch over a person with a broken arm or leg. The job descriptions are similar. The jobs themselves? Heck no.
